📍 Dr Appolinaire Manirafasha is a consultant of Emergency Medicine and critical care and head of department of Accident and Emergency at King Faisal hospital, Rwanda. He received his Medical Doctor degree from University of Rwanda in 2011. After graduation he did Internship at Gahini hospital for 1 year before working as general practitioner at Kirehe hospital in 2012. In 2015 he started residency program in emergency and critical care. He completed his specialty training in Emergency Medicine and critical care at University of Rwanda in 2019, and got appointment to King Faisal hospital, where he started as a junior consultant. He is head of department of Accident and Emergency at the same time Faculty at Emergency and critical care resident program at African health science university (AHSU) Dr. Appolinaire Manirafasha is co-founder and member of Rwanda emergency care association, profession society for emergency and critical care physician. He is a master trainer of basic emergency care courses, the course developed by WHO and ICRC to reduce diseases burden in low and Middle income countries. Dr Appolinaire Manirafasha has published several papers on weight estimation in Rwandan population, Procedure sedation, analgesia in trauma patient and others under review. Dr Appolinaire was a frontliner for outbreaks: COVID 19 in March 2020 and Marburg in September 2024 at King Faisal hospital Dr Appolinaire is interested in research and emergency education
