Our Faculty
AHSU’s faculty bring together academic distinction, clinical expertise, teaching experience, and research engagement in service of the University’s mission to train the next generation of health professionals. Across all schools and departments, the University is supported by full-time faculty, part-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and visiting faculty who bring a wealth of academic, clinical, and professional experience to the institution.
Their collective contribution strengthens AHSU’s mission to train competent, ethical, and forward-looking health professionals equipped to respond to the needs of Rwanda, the region, and the global health community.
The University is proud to draw faculty from Rwanda and a wide range of countries, including Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria, Burundi, Uganda, the United States, France, Belgium, and others. This international and multidisciplinary faculty body enriches the learning environment through diverse perspectives, specialized expertise, and extensive clinical exposure across different health systems.
Faculty members contribute to curriculum delivery, skills laboratory teaching, student mentorship, assessment, research supervision, program development, and supervised clinical training, ensuring that learners receive a rigorous, well-rounded, and globally informed education.
In addition, each department is supported by administrative staff who serve as the first point of contact for prompt communication and day-to-day coordination within the department.
