Dr. Belise Stella Uwurukundo is a medical doctor with a Master’s in Global Health Delivery and Health Management, and over eight years of experience in health systems leadership, program coordination, and healthcare delivery in Rwanda.

She serves  as Chief of Education, Training, and Research at King Faisal Hospital, Rwanda, and is a founding member of the Africa Health Sciences University (AHSU), established in 2024 with undergraduate and residency training programs

As AHSU Registrar, she provides strategic oversight of academic governance, trainee administration, and regulatory compliance. She leads the development of robust education systems, ensuring quality assurance, operational efficiency, and effective trainee support. Her work focuses on strengthening health professions education through evidence-based leadership, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven academic excellence.
